31 Oct A Murder at The Glenwood
Ever heard the saying, “A little party never killed nobody”? Well, that’s exactly what happened this past weekend at The Glenwood. Well…not really. No one was really killed, but guests enjoyed a killer event.
The Glenwood welcomed over 100 guests for an exclusive Murder Mystery speakeasy event, by invitation only. The event was presented by It’s a Mystery, titled RIP Roaring Revenge, A Comedy Whodunit.
With Halloween just around the corner, the timing was perfect for this type of event and guests were invited to come in costume.
The evening began with cocktail hour as guests arrived. Two amazing signature drinks were offered at the bar – Featured 75 and Ward Eight – along with several craft beers, local wines and champagnes.
Delicious vegetable towers and beef wellingtons were passed during cocktail hour, catering by Irregardless Cafe & Catering – the exclusive caterer at The Glenwood.
Following cocktail hour, the beautifully decorated grand ballroom was opened to receive guests for their first dinner course – house salad, table side coffee, tea and water – and first of 3 acts by It’s a Mystery’s phenomenal acting team. Little did guests know, this would be a murder mystery they would solve by dinner’s end, which, by the way, was a beautifully crafted buffet with Salmon, Lemon Tahini Chicken, mixed vegetables and garlic herb potatoes .Take a look at some of the snap shots from the evening:
